Windshield rattle

Windshield rattle
I just installed a Nostalgic detachable windshield on my 2007 Softail Deluxe and it has some rattle over bumps. Is this normal or did I do something wrong with the install? Sounds like a metal to metal rattle.

The detachable is certainly not going to be as solid as a permanent mount might be. I have it on my '06 Deluxe. When I hit the NYC potholes, you can hear the mount make a sound, but it is like one clunk and that is it. Not a rattle. Are the springs at the sides tight?

Thanks lawdoc. It turned out to be a factory defect with the fork leg. There is a technical bulletin out on that problem and it only affects 2007 models. They replaced the fork leg and the rattle is gone. I thought it was the windshield because once I put it on it kind of amplified the sound.
