I have a 2017 Slim S. The speedometer reads high by a pretty good amount. Not a big deal but is kind of a pain. Can a dealer recalibrate it or am I stuck with what I have? I don't know the exact error yet but it is approaching 8% which isn't insignificant.

As far as I know, it can only be recalibrated with aftermarket devices. TTS and Powervision tuners allow recalibration as well as Dakota Digital speedo recal unit (not sure of year model applicability of the Dakota Digital unit).

Its under warranty, they should be able to do something.
I am going to Reno on Friday for a Dr's appt. I will swing by HD and see what they can do. I have an extended warranty so I do not want to mess with tuners. I wanted to verify the error % with my GPS. I got a mount for it but it blanks out. I think the engine vibration has something to do with it.

Did you buy the bike new? Did you change anything in the drivetrain? What about new tires, right size? If no on all counts, take it back to the dealer...
Bought new and didn't change anything. I know bikes in the past, especially Japanese bike were notorious for having optimistic speedometers. With everything now computer controlled there is no excuse for this. My 2013 truck's speedometer is right on the money.

I went through the same thing in 2014. I bought a new CVO Limited. The speedometer was off four percent. I went to the dealership and explained that and how I documented it. The service manager could understand how I documented it but one call to the moco said the number was within their tolerances. So live with it. So when I traded it off with 24000 miles on it it actually had a little over 23000 miles on it.
