speedo cable

how is length measured on cable? Is it overall or actual cable between connections? 80-80 FXS Lowrider with FL frontend.

Measure the length of the outer, I suggest. If you check this parts website you can compare/identify a likely stock part number, which may help find a new one.

if you only need the inner cable, you can get a replacement universal cable at any auto parts store. they're very easy to make into the length you need.

+1 mr. bagga on the new speedo chain (that is actually what it is called, who knew?). sad thing is probably not a shelf item since speedo went electric decades ago but they can be ordered. like he said, easy job if the housing is still good.
