LCD Oil Temp dipstick
I have had 2 of these dipsticks. First one on a '03 Dyna and the one I have now on a '05 Road King. The one on the Dyna is now owned by a friend and is still working great. The one on the RK started showing moisture under the glass a couple of months ago but would dry out & work ok. The last time I got the moisture it started to affect the display. I am trying to take it apart to clean contacts, etc. but I can not get the small screws out. According to the instructions they are Phillips head. But the crosshatches are so small that nothing seems to work. I have enven tried Torx. I know that on earlier models they use Torx.

Have you ever had trouble with it reading incorrectly? Mine on my FatBoy only reads COLD OIL and 32 no matter what the oil temp. I have replaced the battery hoping that it would correct, but it continues to only show that. I tried cleaning it up and that had no affect either. Think I'm screwed?
