Turns over loud backfire and won't start

Default Turns over loud backfire and won't start

Installed protorque 1.8 starter, coil, reg, ignition, battery, plugs, wires, double checked wiring, turns over loud deep backfire and won't start
any suggestions?

Default Sorry

Sorry 01 dyna low rider, first time on here. I also put a Mikuni carb on but before I put the carb on I tried starting it it was the same thing so I just kept running as I was putting the carb on double checked all of my connections everything and still can't figure it out

Judging by all the parts you changed, you already had a problem you were trying to fix? If so, what was the original issue?

You put on a starter and it turns over..Sounds like you did that correctly. Maybe the problem is someone else's. Beam me up..

You're trying to burn the fuel as it exits your engine not after it's compressed.
Take Max's advice and swap out the 2 wires. See if it starts then.
