Ok got a an issue buddy calls me his ride is down .
His problem is cold mornings cool evenings bike runs fantastic. 2003 ultra .Mid day hot as hell bike stalls wait till it cools down fires up again runs until it gets hot again ? Vapor lock? Electronic ? Ecm?
If the entire bike shuts down including lights/everything, he most likely has a bad crimp on one or more of the wires at the main circuit breaker causing excessive heat. Have him feel the circuit breaker posts. If they are very hot to the touch, he must replace the bad eyelets. Sometimes they are so bad they start getting hot just keying the bike on. Sometimes the wire insulation is discolored. Breaker is in the frame under front of seat.

I learned work my 03 EGS that the stock 40amp circuit breaker overheats quickly and HD recommends changing it to a50amp. That's supposed to fix the problem but doesn't as i found out last week. It died on me at a stop light when it was up near 90deg. I saw a thread about it and someone said they replaced it with a Maxi fuse and it solves the problem since they aren't affected by the hear.

See post #2 for more accurate information. HD screwed up and released the maxi-fuse fix before they figured out the wire problem.
Cold air is more condensed than warm/hot air. This means when it is cool outside more air will be available for your intake and cause the engine to run leaner (More air, Less fuel). When it is warm outside the bike will run richer (More fuel than Air). Too rich and you will flood the engine. Make sure your Air Cleaner and Fuel Filter are clean. Also, make sure the engine is optimally tuned to it's current setup.
Warm air will also cause fuel to vaporize faster building pressure in the gas tank. A low fuel level can also create a vacuum. Both of those issues are a result of a improperly vented tank and can cause the fuel pump to fail. A good test is when the engine stalls unscrew the gas cap and listen for a woosh of air. If you hear the air rushing in or out then that is your problem. Make sure the cap vent is working correctly and the vent hose under the tank is not clogged or crimped.
Harley's are air cooled and cooling is less efficient when it's hot out, especially when the bike is standing still and the engine is idling . As already mentioned electrical components can be affected. Heated electrical components can expand breaking connections. You could use a Parade Fan to help cool the engine and surrounding components.
