Default 2006 RK Custom brake light issue

As I was getting on my bike this yesterday, I noticed the brake didn't light when I squeezed my hand brake. Assuming my bulb was burnt, I bought one and changed it. The problem didn't resolve itself and that's when I noticed the brake light was staying on all the time. I pushed my hand lever away from the grip and the light went off, but as soon as I let go, it came back on. While having it pushed away from the lever, I checked to make sure the foot pedal was allowing it to light up and it was. So, my issue is the hand lever is not allowing the sensor to disengage. I've looked on the hand lever and I don't see an adjustment. I've looked in the service manual and still don't see an adjustment. Suggestions are appreciated.

Did you do anything with the brake perch at all?
might just need to loosen the assm and readjust the brake lever.as something might be pinched causing the lever to be slightly pulled in

No, I've only owned this bike for a couple months. I don't remember this being an issue when I bought it, and I've not done anything with the brake perch. I'm heading to a dealership to see if a service tech can tell me what's going on. I know on the older bikes it would just be a matter of a cable adjustment. Don't have that available on this one.

Make sure the brake master is right up against the switch assembly.. If still pushing out a little turns off the light, You either have a damaged switch or gunked up brake master. Some aftermarket levers can also cause an issue.
