Are the brakes working properly? If so I had a buddy who had a similar problem when he changed his levers. His brake light stayed on. We took the lever off, put a small piece of double stick tape on the part that came in contact with the brake light switch, and put it back in ad all has been well for many months now.
Yes the brakes are working fine, its the last bit of travel which leaves the light on when the brake is off, is there a spring that is not working properly
when I loosened off the nut that holds the mirror stork to the brake housing the lever moved forward by its self and the wheel turned freely, but now that gives me another problem, how can I secure the mirror and winker without jamming up the brake lever,
I tried that hun but it just flops around, I thought there must be a spacer or something like that to do the job or an insert, someone must have come across this before
Sounds like something isn't installed correctly. Go to your local dealer and get a look at an exploded view of the handlebar controls and see if yours matches up.
Somewhere there are some of these online... I just don't remember where. It's a dealer selling parts on line (which HD is 'outlawing' next year I think).
I dont go to my local HD because he launches himself at me as I walk in and does endless hard sell until I leave, I come out seeing stars and nothing else, O and have sore ears
Ive taken it all apart again, I know its only a pin and a circlip but Im having a go, I dont think it is solely to do with the housing and mirror after all, well may be a little, I think the alternative replacement lever I have is to tight on the pin and slightly out of line with the housing , doing the mirror stem up tight so close just makes it worse, I will have a look for my Original HD leavers
