Default Chirp

1993 FL
I am hearing a chirp after releasing the clutch.
Mount?
Compensator?
Stator?
Hamster getting pinched?

Checked the mount, its tight and solid
Checked the compensator it's still torqued in there
Havent checked the stator
Hamster is dead

The only reason I am answering a first post without any sort of introduction is the dead hamster made me laugh.

Does it chirp when you get on and off the throttle too? Chirping is many times a loose belt. It can be verified by checking belt deflection or spraying the belt with water and seein if it goes away temporarily. .

Is it constant or just one chirp as you release the clutch?

I’d suspect friction plates if it’s a chirp just as clutch is released and goes away once moving.

Only chirps when releasing the clutch, only when tromping on it. theres nothing in second, third or fourth. just in first. checked the belt and its good

Maybe it's got so much motor it's chirping the tire. Better unhook one plug wire on that bad boy before someone gets hurt!
