Took the bike out today, short ride. Stopped to pick up the wifes medicine, all good. Heading home I got this weird vibration, felt like the front wheel was hopping. I havent checked air pressure yet and I use Dyna Beads for balancing. Ive never had any problem before. Beads have been in for 5or6 years. No tire cupping or bubbles.
I didnt notice if it changed with my speed or not.
When I said a belt separating, I meant a tire belt. How old are your tires? Jack bike up and rotate wheels, look for out of round tires and/or bumps. To check wheel bearing, put bike on a jack and rotate wheels, listen for ticking or clicking.
5 or 6 years? Id replace those tires theyve served their time. 5 years from date of install is a good rule of thumb, if you can make them last that long of course

Well that sucks. I don't get out as much as I'd like (family, work, weather, winter and house ****), so there's only about 6000 miles on the tires.
wow, 6k miles and still going, it's to die for!!!!
i am trying some commanders and if that doesn't pan out, to the dark side i go.
never made it to 6k and smoked one at just over 3k.
tires are important so if in doubt, change them.
Old tires can get hard, and if not ridden on much, can develop flat spots and give you wheel hop feeling. Sometimes riding on them until they heat up will put them back in round, but if there in that condition, probably time for new ones.
Well just a follow up,
Told the bike out today for a quick ride around the block.
No hopping, So it must have been a fluke thing or
possibly the Dynabeads got bunched up in the wrong spot.
