Default Soap Spots on Engine Valve covers

Hey All,

I've got a 2017 Softail Slim with a 103 motor and the valve covers have a few annoying water spots that seem to be baked into the aluminum valve covers. Funny I never noticed before, maybe recent add. Is there some polishing compound or other method of removing these spots without causing additional visual issues or even valve cover replacement?

Thank,

White Diamond metal polish and sealant with some elbow grease will take just about anything out. Works great and is safe for chrome, aluminum, satin finish, etc. The dealer washed the better half's sportster years ago after a service appointment and didn't rinse/dry correctly and it looked terrible. White Diamond cleaned it up in no time. It will settle out, so shake like crazy before use. A bottle will last a long long time.

The polished rocker covers do this. Many times they have all kinds of shades in them just from the casting. They're just polished cast parts.

Been using S100 by any chance? Try cleaning with Pig Spit it works wonders on engine parts.
