I'm sorry, I was under the impression the thread was about "Correct torque setting".
So, if I torque my rear axle to 95 ft-lbs (95-105 recommended) with my recently calibrated wrench, and the following day I check it per the FSM, and it doesn't rotate at the minimum setting (95 ft-lbs), the torque has been maintained. What's the point of torqueing to 100 ft-lbs (midway), other than compensating for the inaccuracy of an inexpensive wrench, when 95 ft-lbs is within spec?
]mr. dan01/28/2019 said it all!!! the fsm knows not what you do, only a guideline.
The FSM is an innate object, and therefore is incapable of knowing what you do, or what you do not do. Let the OP sort the replys, and formulate his own conclusion.
