I'm interested in getting an ESP through Jim Palmer at Discount ESP. I have heard lots of good things about the plan so far, but my concern is that Discount ESP was being sold by Jim at BoardTracker HD which it seems in now out of business. That has me worried that Discount ESP may follow suit. Does anyone know about the situation behind BoardTracker shutting down? Am I asking for trouble? I understand that the plan sold by Discount ESP id administered by First Extended. Would they be required to honor the contract if Discount ESP folds?
Well I got some positive news after talking to Kathy Arquette at Discount ESP. They are not completely connected to BoardTracker. They sold through their dealership somehow, but they are actually their own stand alone entity. She did also mention that BT is only temporarily closed and most likely will be reopening very soon under new management.
All that said, I asked about coverage and she said they mirrored they coverage after the HD ESP. If it is covered by HD, then it will be covered under Discount ESP.
After speaking to them I feel very comfortable using Discount ESP. On top of that, if you are a Veteran and contact them, they can give you a Veterans discount code. In my case it was $100 off.
