2001 Sportster which unfortunately has to live outside. It's 85 all year round so no freezing issues, but sun/wind and some rain. Current cover lasted just over a year. Any suggestions?
(BTW I'm a cheap bastard)
I'm also a cheap bastard, but after buy three cheap pieces of **** and wasting $20 each, I bought the highest quality cover I could find and it cost $100. This thing is fleece-lined, thick, fits well, and is guaranteed and warrantied for life: https://www.carcovers.com/covers/mot...cle-cover.html
My vote goes to the Harley Storm Shield biker cover. I've been using them for many years. They quit making them a while ago, but they are still out there and they made them in different sizes.

That must suck....I can think of a lot of things that would live....er....um.....stay outside before my Harley.
I noticed that nobody recommended the H-D touring cover. I liked the velcro on the rear for the antennas, and some had a crisscross lacing on the top to tighten it up.
Is it worth the $150 from the Dealerships?
While I am also a cheap SOB, the main reason I use cheap, $40 covers, is that when I see a weak spot forming, a small piece of duct tape is a easy solution. And if it is put on the inside nobody knows. The desert sun here is tough on paint, seats, tires, etc..
And there are times, such as while parked at work for hours, when there may be no easy option to avoid the sun.

The $100 cover I linked above is warrantied/guaranteed for 10 years. No duct tape, just submit a claim and get a new cover.
