Default Conversion from stock drag bars to Flanders apes...

2001 sportster 1200. Is there a kit I can buy to make this easier? New clutch/throttle cables? These are the new ones...

Note the recommended method for calculating your new cable lengths

http://www.sideroadcycles.com/Americ.../TallBar1.html

New cables and new brake lines? When buying new bars, a rough formula to follow is to measure the increased heigth + 1/2 the increased pullback that the new bars will give you. This amount will be very close to how much additional cable and brake line that you may need. However, the best method is to fit the new bars to the motorcycle and then make the increased length determinations, if needed at all.

One option for an installation kit is Burly. You can find them on Amazon as well as other places. This is just an example, you need to follow Flanders instructions for calculating the sizes you need.
