Default I need help 09 FLHR removing handlebar riser cover

I wanna install 16" apes on my Road king, for this I have to remove EOM heandlebar. To remove heandlebar first I need to remove handlebar riser cover. I checked on the Internet it meant to be 2 phillips screws under cover "Lock&unlock" but not in my case. Can someone tell me how to remove this type of screws.
Thank you in advance

Using a small screwdriver or similar remove the cover above the lock mechanism , there should be a screw underneath that plastic plate .

Oh , and welcome to the forum !!

You can drill them out but a quicker way is to use a punch that is sharpened to about a 60-70 deg included angle. Dimble the edge of the screw using the punch with a small hammer, then drive the dimple counter clockwise. I've not seen those screws used before. My 17 RK had phillips.
