Big Twin, I think I heard of those. Aren't they the big brother of the small twins?

I do believe the first Motor to be considered a BT (Big Twin) was the Evo.. It was a marketing idea..

Big Twin terminology goes way back to the Flathead era. Harley always made different size motors. A U/UL/ULH would be considered a Big Twin VS a WL with the 45 cubic inch motor. Knuckles, Pans and Shovels all existed with 45's and K Models and then ironheads.

All of that said, for your part search, yeh just not a Sportster, not getting into the Porches and their offspring, good luck.

It's an engine designation.
Back in their day these were all called Big twins. Any big inch displacement engine larger than a Sportster or a k model
