Went through a bunch of the " low profile " half lids and all had climbing problems at speed. Tried a Bell Pit Boss and wish I'd found it years ago , most comfortable helmet I've ever worn and zero wind issues with it, I can ride with it unstrapped and it doesn't climb. Removable ear protection works great too on those 40 deg mornings
I second the Pit Boss. On mine I swapped out the shield with a tinted one and removed that bullshit brace thing at the back of the helmet because it felt funny at the base of my skull (and from the recent looks of things Bell removed it as well). It comes with a zip-in lower section that protects the ears.

Do you use it with or without the visor and does it make any difference in climbing.. I don't think in my 40 years of riding that I've never had a helmet that didn't climb. Except for a 3/4 helmet..
Use it just as it comes out of the box visor and all, really comfortable helmet too, surprised me. All the usual neck strain & shoulder tightness you have after a good ride is gone with mine.
1) it fit too low on my head meaning it was impossible to get my glasses to fit over my ears
2) the lift above 65 was dreadful
it's gone back
I never thought I'd try a 3/4 helmet as I thought they'd look stupid on me, but...and this is even worse...facebook keeps showing me an advert for HD school, and the guy in advert has a 3/4 and it looks good!!...might have to visit my local store and check them out
