The Arlen Big sucker doesn't have the external breathers , they are set up to breath internally through the throttle body . This one shows the breather hoses going in behind the TB plate . The link I provided shows the exact set up you have .

So say I want to change to the Arlen Ness Inverted Series air cleaner, would there be an issue?
If you wanted to switch over to a AN Inverted , you would have to remove that air cleaner / backing plate that you have and start fresh . Order an entire kit , at least , that's the only way I can see you getting it done . You could also call DK and see if they offer a different air filter for your backing plate , and purchase an inverted cover to go with it , that I'm not sure about .
