110" mods
I'm about to get into my completely stock 16 LRS and I've pretty much settled on S&S 585 Cams, S&S pushrod and tapets, Techno Research tuner and a dyno tune by the shop. I'm probably going with S&S 10.5:1 pistons but do I need the S&S oil pump/cam plate with or without installing the pistons? I already have a Thunderheader and may put a stealth air cleaner on instead of that dopey stock air cleaner. Just looking for recommendations and real world experience. Next will be brakes and suspension and then an FXRT fairing/lowers/hard bags. Any input is greatly appreciated, thanks!

I added 585G cams to my 110" at the end of last season, went for the full pull and added all S&S goods: lifters, push rods, cam plate, oil pump, and bearings. Oil pressure is reading higher now for sure. I like the rpm range of the cams, you can cruise at 2900rpm and then hammer the throttle up to the rev limiter. Mileage is way down, all smiles per miles. I have a Trask intake and used the FP3 to tune.
