Chasing a rattle

Default Chasing a rattle
On my 2013 FLSTC, in 2nd & 3rd gear about 2300 rpm there is a loud rattle. Sounds like 2 pieces of sheet metal vibrating. My ears say the direction of the sound is the triple tres.
Does not happen with bike stopped, in neutral and/or with clutch pulled.
The sound happens with and without the wind shield installed.
I examined and opened up the triple tres covers. Nothing feels loose. No connectors touching the covers.
I replaced the handlebar riser bushings.
Nothing on the front end feels loose.
Any suggestions on what to try next?

My mystery rattle was a highway peg solved with a half turn tight. Hope yours is as easy but it took me awhile to figure it out.

Use a rubber mallet and gently tap on the frame , culprit just might reveal itself . Check your heat shields , sound travels .

My rattle was a loose muffler mounting bolt. Took a week or so to find.
