Can't remember if they are different....but check lengths and make sure you have the throttle cable and the return cable in the right holes...
check and make sure your cable is in the groove on you throttle grip. Not off the groove causing some slack.
Long time ago i had mine apart was a bit of a pain to get it back together.
just throwing things out here....if you back off/tighten up the return cable it should affect the throttle cable. Maybe one is set to tight to let the other one do its thing.
