So I bought these throttle cables and they are specifically for my bike. problem is when I adjust the cable to where the throttle body gets to just fully open it's off of the threads as you can see. If I screwed just barely onto the threads like maybe one turn the throttle body is almost all the way open but not fully. What What do do thank you very much? Doing this now lol.thanks
Describing the exact year and model of motorcycle helps forum members to better understand the problem.
Then providing the exact manufacturer and model of cables might also help forum members to better understand.
There are a lot of harley motorcycle models and probably many more manufacturers of cables.
Based only on the information provided i will take a guess that cable is not sitting correctly at throttle body (based on picture), you were supplied an incorrect aftermarket cable or installation is not correct.

Apologies. I have 2017 Sportster 48. The cables I got are below. The cable are sitting correctly in the throttle body. It seems like of I'm having this issue it means the cable is too long?

Match the new cables up to the old cables and see if there is any difference. The after market cables may be different from the OEM ones even if you ordered the correct cables. Maybe get OEM Harley cables.

I tossed them out. I installed these about month ago but took them back off as they weren't adjusted properly.
well, after-market is fraught with inaccuracies, even happens to hd. just because you bought bike specific does not mean they shipped the right ones and to boot, cat number do not always reflect correct items.
you can always re-end the cables IF you have the capability or tools to do such, but probably tooooo much sugar for the doughnut.

I'm I'm completely lost. The idle and throttle cable enter exactly as they did previously at the throttle body. The metal thing on the cable.jaclet roghg before the cable becomes bare enters right into a little housing right before it wraps around the throttle body. Just the way it did before.
