Actually, the carb was installed in 2018, at the same time as the Screaming Eagle motor. Also installed in 2018 was a six speed trans. The carb is still in great condition and it is there to stay. And by the way, Carlos G Godfrog, my bike is identical to yours (my name is also Carlos, or as my wife calls me, Carlitos). Same color. Same same. I also have a 2006 Softail Heritage with an 88 ci motor, and it is a lot quieter than this 107. In fact, the 107 sounds like I am starting a Detroit diesel when I first crank it up.

I loved my carb'd EVO but EFI is definitely better once you have it dialed in. One advantage not mentioned in this thread is what happens with ethanol laden fuel and long periods without riding. If you don't run your bike often due to winter or work, or maybe the good fortune of having >1 bike, EFI is easier to live with.
