I installed a Horn Trigger on my Ultra. It's really pretty ingenious little device, took five minutes to install and it makes it so you do not have to move you hand off the left grip to use your horn. For how little it costs, my thought was if it saves a couple of seconds when you need to activate your horn, it may be well worth it.lt may actually save your life who knows ?

your thumb hits below the tab on the button, it rocks the trigger to activate the horn. Works like a charm .
Funny you should mention a Horn. I installed a Screaming Banshee mini. It fits perfectly under the cow bell. That little sucker is loud. They claim 128 decibels and l have no reason to doubt it. I didn't want something that changed the stock look of the left side of the bike. I have had air horns in the past that were not as loud as the Banshee mini.. No longer can anyone say." I didn't hear his horn. "
I installed the horn trigger on my Street Glide earlier this winter. Took it off after a week or two.
With winter gloves on its very cumbersome to operate the left turn signal which I discovered I use way more than I realized. Easier without gloves I imagine, or with thin summer gloves. But I plan to leave it off for now.
The ingenious thing about this is that they figured out what ridiculous junk people will buy for their motorcycles...
Seriously, how hard is it to find the horn button?
Pretty damn hard for me with my big mitts. I have to **** my thumb way up assbackwards in a less than natural position while somewhat releasing my grip on the handgrip to do so in order to get on the horn, so when Im approaching any traffic entering the road in front of me I go ahead and position my thumb on the horn in advance because I cant find the damn thing in a hurry.
That said, I removed the horn trigger because I use the left turn signal 100 times more than the horn and the horn trigger makes it harder to get in the left turn signal, for me anyway.
In the heat of the moment I have struggled to find the horn button as quickly as I would have liked to. It's not often, but when you need it quickly, you need to quickly. But I am not as dexterous as I once was either.
The horn trigger works but unfortunately they don't last very long as the plastic cracks. One made of spring steel with steel eyelets for the mounting holes would be more efficient, sturdier and a smaller footprint or Harley should just redesign the horn button where's more accessible

Perhaps it is the cold weather in your area? Mine has worked good here for 4 years.
Nothing to do with cold weather. I've had four of them. One cracked in half, two cracked at the screw mounts. A spacer of some sort would work much better at the switch housing holes so you don't put pressure on the plastic when tightening the housing down. I still have one on my Softail but I don't ride that one as much as the SG.
After the first one broke I did send a email to Horn Trigger and they sent me 2 new replacements. Good CS
