I couldn't wear a full face helmet...to stuffy and I get claustrophobic. Funny though, when I ride in freezing weather it kinda feels comfy and cozy. And, my ears don't fell like they're gonna fall off. I like it better when its warmer. As the weather warms up the helmets get smaller and smaller.

Anything less than a full face is no more than a ball cap. [sm=signs006.gif]

Just purchased and started wearing a helmet last fall. Hadn't worn one since Wisc. had a helmet law back in the mid-70's. I was concerned about all the complaints regarding half-helmets with the wind buffeting, but to my suprise I have not experienced a problem.I have an Outlaw brand half helmet from LeatherUp with a very small visor, and I ride a Softail Custom with a small HD sport windshield. No problems at all even at speed.

I personally couldn't wear a full faced helmet as I am a bit claustrophobic and, to me, what is the point. Don't mean to offend those that choose to don a full-face - it is just not for me.

I own 2 1/2 helmets, an HJC and a Bell Drifter. The HJC I had to take the small visor off, it didn't do anything anyway except catch wind. The Bell Drifter with a windshield on is not a problem, however, without it, thestrap feels like your getting chokedwhile riding at anything above 45 MPH. It has a 1 1/2" lip/built in visor on the front, and that catches all the wind and lifts the front of the helmet. My advise, don't get that helmet if you plan on riding without a windshield. The HJC is nice, a little noisy, but that's expected.
