Hey there, wondering if any folks out there have done something like I'm looking for. I would like a trailer to haul a couple cruisers around when on vacation. But also to haul around kayaks, lumber and other large items when necessary. Enclosed from the elements NOT required. A modular type build, maybe something I could bolt in some tire cradles when needed? Something light and affordable that I could purchase from home depot or lowes and modify? I would be pulling said trailer around with a 4 door jeep wrangler so not too big and heavy. Share your ideas, show my your mods.
Not sure about home depot but this is my set up.
Trailer weight is 450 lbs. Inside measures 82 inches inside length 12 feet. Curve ramp make loading easy and it can be removed. The 450 pound weight adds to what you can pull.
Will haul the largest sidecars ,two bikes or Trike with ease. Tool box is removable. Good for 80 Mph with no problems on highway and will bring most of what you need home from the lumber store,
Has pockets for sides if you wish. No one answer for everyone.
