Now that H-D only gives one fob, I guess I’m one of “those” guys lol. I do like to have an extra with me when I travel - so out of curiosity how much does an additional fob with programming cost?

The $220 I mentioned in the original post included $100 for 2 fobs with batteries, $95 labor, about $10 worth of shop supplies and tax. I'd guess $150 for a single fob and syncing it to the bike.

My fob, including the battery, was $69.95.
Given that purchased a 2021, the dealer did not charge me to sync the fob.
I purchased the fob about two months after I got the bike.
Also, if you have a fob with a push button (pre-'07 or 08), you can program the fob yourself using the turn signal buttons. After that, you need to hook up the bike to the Stealer's machine. Here's my fob adventure with my 2006 RKC. https://www.hdforums.com/forum/elect...road-king.html
Glad you got your bike up and running again.
There is a term I agree with: "The crappification of America". There is some of that at the Moco. You can pay, what?, $30,000 for a HD touring bike and they only give you one FOB? As far as I know you still get two with any new car you buy. The only reason HD does that is greed. They know most of their customers will grumble and buy a second.
I'll get off my soap box now.........
Step back on and keep preaching.
And some dealers then charge you to reg the new FOB in the ECM.
Indy's with right tools can do any thing the dealer can do. I can do it with my Centurion.
Last new Car got two and free replacement if lost
