Have the H-D adjustable backrest on my 2020 RG with the Hammock seat. The backrest is very tight
against the seat and will eventually tear the material. The backrest comes with a piece of hard plastic with adhesive to install on the seat but it doesnt do anything for the appearance. Yes I checked fitment for both the backrest and the seat. Funny thing is this isnt any issue with the stock seat. Wondering if anyone else has had this problem and what you may have done to correct it.
Yup, had that problem. I removed the bracket and extended the holes for the two bolts by drilling them out. That allowed the bracket and backrest to move forward about 1/4 inch. Its not perfect but it is better and Im thinking it is enough to prevent tearing of the vinyl.
