Default Lift Jacks

Would like to find a good option for lifting up my Softail in my shop or even for outside when washing the wheels.
Saw this one. Might not need the wheels. Any comments?

That is not a lift, it is a scissor jack.

It is used to raise one end of the motorcycle at a time.

Example:

It's called a scissor lift. But yes, you're right. It looks like it is intended for lifting only one end, but if situated in the centre, it also looks like it is meant to lift both front and back, howbeit, with straps to secure it.

Scissor lift, scissor jack, anyone can call it what ever they want...

It is a simple scissor jack, they call it a lift to be deceiving.

This is from the description in the link you posted:

NEW 1,100lb Motorcycle Center Jack Scissor Lift Stand Hoist. This scissor lift can raise the bike from the front or the rear and will support up to 1000 pounds.
It is a very useful tool, but I don`t think it is what you are looking for.

The best use for this type of jack is not on the garage floor, but on a table lift, where the bike is secured by a front wheel chock and tiedown straps, or a rear wheel chock and tiedown straps.

I’ve got a wide version of that that lifts the whole bike.

The one I bought from them cost half that, and there are cheaper ones.

The other link I thought I pasted didn't show. Yes, the wider ones appear to be meant to lift the entire bike.

Just love this for turning my bike around in my shop rather than backing it out. Those little box jacks are definitely meant to lift up the entire bike for this very purpose.

Now here's a great alternative to those expensive dollies!
