Hi I have a problem with the starter.
I bought a new battery but still lacks torque
I opened the starter

common problem and is considered a wear component. when you replace, buy quality since aftermarket mostly use steel components in it and will not last.
you can buy rebuild kits or if you have the necessary means, repair what you have as that is what i do.
so what is with the advertisement?

el shinola units use dissimilar metals, aka, steel and copper that will aide in self destruction. better to be copper/copper or better yet silver solder/silver solder or for the tops, tungsten/tungsten.
i usually dress/clean and fill in with brass or silver solder. i often wonder why hd did not install a capacitive arch suppression on these????
