el shinola units use dissimilar metals, aka, steel and copper that will aide in self destruction. better to be copper/copper or better yet silver solder/silver solder or for the tops, tungsten/tungsten.
i usually dress/clean and fill in with brass or silver solder. i often wonder why hd did not install a capacitive arch suppression on these????
