Default Big sucker 1 or 2

I have a big sucker 1 and thinking about putting on the 2. It says more air, I guess. Im wondering if the backing plate is the same size. Anyone know this for sure?

I read a few places saying they are the same but Arlen Ness site says the big sucker 2 filter doesnt work with stage 1 sucker. Maybe wanting you to buy the whole kit instead of just the filter and cover? I dont know, might just go with a completely new air cleaner altogether, I just dont want to redo my external breather

Do you think your engine airflow is too restrictive at the moment? What are you running that you think the Big Sucker 1 can't supply?

Honestly I dont know. I bought a used 2007 street glide. Had the big sucker and true dual Bub 7 exhaust when I got it. I put on a tab bam sticks. I got an fp3 and was talking to V&H and they said my stock map that is in the tuner for them to adjust is a dyno tune map. Said it has “very radical fuel values” and said there is definitely some work done on the cams or some other motor work. I did buy it from a dealership, but not Harley. Wasnt told about or givin any paperwork on any motor work done.

Would be nice to know what is done to the motor.

I just want the Sucker 2 for the bigger billet face and get it engraved, and suppose to get 20% more air. Sometimes is feels restricted. Its not dirty or over oiled. I have a few of the filters that I keep cleaned and ready so I dont have to wait for it to dry. Just thinking more air would be better

There's very few if any aftermarket ACs that don't flow way more than most will ever need. I seriously doubt you need an AC that flows more air. Unless you've had some serious head work done, that's where you need more flow and where your bottleneck is...in the heads.
