…and the moco says up to a quart every 1500 is within spec. Hell, a dealer service dept told me a quart every thousand. Everyone in this thread is adding oil between changes on M-8s. Twin Cam owners not reporting oil usage between. Or if they are they ain’t saying.

Twin cams if running right do not burn oil. Change oil full synthetic Mobil bike oil every 5,000 miles no issues. Started to get issues after 120,000 hard miles and now rebuilding.
Ok I just check my Sportster and it's still well within the limits of were it should be. It isn't exactly where it was but it isn't anything to freak out about. Considering the amount of riding I've been doing lately in the desert sun I'm happy.
I'm sure you guys know these bikes are easy to overfill so freaking out checking it all the time isn't the greatest plan either. I don't know about your bike but if you don't check mine hot you're going to overfill it.

I'd be worried about bikes with motors that don't burn a drop of oil. It means that no oil is sticking to the cylinder cross hatch to lubricate the rings and no oil is making past the valve seals to lubricate the guides. Get back to us after you have 40K to 50K
