Alcohol on Plexiglas windshield

Default Alcohol on Plexiglas windshield
Will alcohol applied to Plexiglas have any adverse effect to its clarity

Just water , then polish with computer screen cleaner,it’s made for plastic. I wouldn’t use alcohol.

Can't speak to your windshield, but I use Zeiss lens wipes (saturated in alcohol) on my plastic eyeglass lenses with no issue.

I spray water on a cotton cloth and then use a nice microfiber to finish it off.

Your glasses have coatings on them. The windshield doesn’t. I use Original Bike Spirits (old Honda spray wax and polish formula), or 10% vinegar water.
I originally used Novus products but they are pricy.

The reason I'm asking is that I'm planning on doing a little pin stripping and I need to clean the surface without leaving a film which alcohol does

use a chemical prep

wash with a good wash like Reset by CarPro....rinse in distilled water....dry with a microfiber...spray it down liberally with a paint or polish prep....Gyeon Prep is perfect and will remove any oils, fingerprints, residues, etc

a prep is what a detailer would do as a step prior to sealing, coating, or waxing....is the final remove all possible stuff step
