It appears you have an aftermarket seat? I took this pic before the cover was installed when I was measuring the space between the fender and tire, so disregard the white rod in the fender hole. With my OE seat, there is a gap between the tab and the seat. I was able to slip the front of the cover into the gap to allow the hole in the cover to line up with the hole in the tab.
@bulldog1776 , not sure how much you paid for your tab cove, but I only paid like $9 for mine and if barneyboy's suggestion doesn't work, I'd be inclined to carefully take a hacksaw and file, or something, to the backside to make the cover shorter. That is if there's no way to squeeze it under the leather far enough.

if squeezing, pushing hard or loosening the tab doesn't work there's always a Dremel
