I want to buy a repair manual for my 07 Road King.
I have always used Haynes manuals for my vehicles and been very happy.
However, what is the best repair manual for Harley Bikes? Is it the Clymer or Haynes, or is there something else better.
GCrack respond if you are a real person. Either may get you by working on a lawnmower or perhaps an older Ford truck. As far as Harleys go, they may be good to tear pages out of to catch any dripped oil, or padding to pack any part you may want to store.
If you are doing actual work or repairs on a real Harley, but a Harley Davidson FSM (Factory Service Manual).
Not brutal at all, a lot of jokers will ask a question like yours just to see how many response it gets, but the person who started the discussion never is heard from again.
That is why TSheff asked for a response to see if you were still around.
Factory service manual, about 140 bucks from the dealer.
Be wary of e bay, it is full of way overpriced service manuals these days.
Sometimes one will pop up in the classified section of this forum.
I've tried several different Haynes & Clymer manuals over the years and they were never very good.
Today, I'd use a youtube video over either one.
But as others have said, get yourself a copy of the manual, use the Ronnies microfiche page to find part #'s, and only use the factory wiring diagrams, torque specs, etc.

HD Service Manual is by far the best reference for working on any part of your bike.
YouTube is great to see the work being done, & for how to do it.
Check eBay if no luck at dealer, but buyer beware as others have said.
