Your kind expertise is please required from a total novice.
I have a fuel tank and all I know is its taken from a Softail Deuce.
This part was manufactured, I believe, in April 2000.

My question is, I am of the understanding that this part number is 62082 - but am I wrong? Or is there more to it, like 62082-00?
Is there a way to tell?
And therefore will it only be suitable for the Softail Deuce, circa 2000? Or up to a certain time beyond 2000?
