Any idea of year and model? Value as is? Would you purchase for 1500 as is? Looking for a winter project and deciding if it is worth the effort! Any and all info welcome!

A bunch of stuff has been changed but it has the period correct brakes.
I would agree,front end is pre '73 having a drum brake.
Early Shovelhead Superglide with a lot changed on it.
Probably looked more like this at one time.
I originally thought that too but it looks to have rear discs . Maybe just a rim off a pre 73. Looks like its missing any connected front brake system

You could be right.. The bike might have been crashed and someone installed an early front end..
Ran when parked but after reading about shovel heads there is no doubt in my mind it needs attention!
Do you think its worth fixing up?
it does have a title, and can probably be purchased for 1k or under given the best offer part of his asking price.
If it was me. For that price. I would be there in the morning with cash in hand. Not putting you down. But. You would be a fool not to. Shovelheads are the new Panheads.
I think it depends a lot on what you can do. If you enjoy restoring, it looks like it will take some work. Shovels are going up.. Generator Shovels are starting to do pretty good.
