I recently picked up a 2003 Road King 100th anniversary CVO screamin eagle. This is my first Harley so I’m new. Does HD provide any sort of owners manual like a car would have? I’m wondering about the fluid amounts when I get around to changing them.
Owners manual is great to have , but the best thing you can do , is to pick up an FSM ( Factory Service Manual ) . You can check Ebay , or the HDF Classifieds , I've always stuck with a real copy , not electronic .
Another thing you could do , is to check used book stores in your area , I've gotten lucky finding service manuals for vehicles I have purchased , seen a few HD manuals for cheap . Stay away from Haynes etc , they're just not as detailed as HD .
Congrats on the purchase , and welcome to the forum !
I too recommend the factory service manual and the parts manual. Also take them to an office supply store and have them put a spiral binding on them....lets them lay flat on your work bench while in use!
I downloaded my factory service manual for about $35. It was another $140 to have it printed on heavy paper & 3 hole punched, and I put it in a 3 ring binder. I had no idea printing would cost that much, and I should've just bought the book on Ebay & saved a few bucks. BUT, mine lays out flat & I can take pages out & copy them easily.
