80" shovelhead engine.
Swapped ignition out for a Dynatek 2000i
Single fire coil. Install was according to directions
White wire and 12v wire fro bike to centre pole.
Blue wire to front cylinder and pink to rear.
Front cylinder at TDC , turned module counter to get red solid light and then slowly clockwise until red led turns off, static timed???
New plugs gapped at 40
I have spark
I have fuel
Haven't checked compression yet..going to get a tester today
Besides spark, fuel, compression assuming it's good.
Why won't this bugger start up?
It only turns over
Pulled plugs...they look good.
Carb is an S&S super E
Main jet 074
Intermediate 295
Carb is at factory settings for now.
Any advice of what else I might need to look into?
Above post could diagnose your problem. If not, my trouble shooting motto is "what's the last thing human hands touched". If it was running OK before the ignition install then it should run now. I would go over everything again, wiring and/or timing could be wrong.

OK lets see how the compression is if it's good, then , air leak? timing recheck, enough fuel? lifter adjustment? cam timing.
I installed the cam
I remember vividly lining the mark on pinion gear with mark on cam gear as well and the other two marks on the breather gear and cam gear.
Process of elimination I guess.
Tonight I'll check compression I each cylinder
Any idea what range in psi?
I have weisco 9.5:1 positions stock bore and an A2 cam
So off with rockers and heads to inspect
Upon removing .... I came across the head bolts so loose you can unscrew them by hand
Valves were seated good
Valve stems looked good
Heads and components in good order
So it's narrowed down to rings...but these rings and pistons are brand new
OR maybe , just maybe because the heads were never torqued down and bolts so loose, there was no crush on the gasket therefore creating no seal and an air leak????? Can this be possible
(both heads)
