Default Burly ‘Jason’ bars

anyone ran these? There are few opinions out in the web about these. Wondering if anyone here has ran them and what their thoughts are. Look comfortable for people wanting a flatter wrist angle but don’t want the hassle of T bars which is what they were designed for apparently.

I scoured the internet to find a handful of pics and generic reviews. No real data. I like the idea and the price isn’t bad. I was looking for something flatter and narrower than my last set of KST straight jackets. I love the classic look but love the dirt bike/drag bar feel and control. I hate how T bars look on most touring bikes personally. These seem to be the only bars out that mix all that into one setup. I ordered the 12” black version. I’ve never ran a 1-1/2” bar so that will be different too. If they don’t work out I’ll send back and order another set of KST’s and see about adjusting a few dimensions. I’m not a fan of the meat hook look either. The Jason’s almost like like Z bars from back in the day in a way.

Sounds like you found a unique option that fits your style—hope the 12” black bars work out for you, and if not, it’s great to have a backup plan with the KSTs!

Well I got them on last weekend and have been missing a ton of beautiful weather since! I’ll be riding to work this coming week however.

the bars feel phenomenal!! Better control than any bar on a touring bike I’ve ran. A touch narrower which alleviates the back cramp I was getting. Rolled them back ever so slightly and they’re about perfect. I HIGHLY recommend these for exactly what they are advertised to do. You want T bars and all the advantages but not the look or the BS of relocating things? This is your ticket. 10/10 do recommend.

wiring was a bit of a ***** with the sharp bends but some tight electrical tape and WD40 to ease the slide did the trick.

Those are nice looking bars. Look way better than t-bars. Really like that wrist angle as well. What size did you go with? Were you able to keep the stock brake and cable line? Looks killer on your bike!

Welded "Z" bars were bad news and dangerous back in the '70's and it's my opinion they still are today. You haven't lived until you survived a break while riding.
