Yeah, I think in Europe youll have a harder time getting SAE (inch) hardware. You will need to think in fractions of inches, not decimals, diameters of 3/16, 1/4, 5/16 etc., and length in inches and fractions, eg 3/4 or 1 1/4 etc. Im also new to Harley, but so far I think its all been coarse thread, not fine thread (UNC, not UNF). And Ive been surprised to find a few metric fasteners. I hope this helps (if Im understanding your question correctly).
