Tassels...

1989 Softail, added hard bags, EV 27 cam, got some black painted fenders and tanks for almost nothing from a friend's shop, done (owned this bike since new).

2019 EG Standard, added auxiliary (OEM type) lamps, rear shocks, done.

2022 Tri Glide, changed rear shocks, done.

Well, I have purchased many parts. Some still pending install. But I am done buying parts until something breaks. I added about $3500 in parts to my 2019 FLHTP.

When I bought my 2019 FLHTP with the 114 engine, I talked to several folks my age and experience and we all agreed that the 114 was great as it was. A couple of those old guys (55+) put 100k on their 114 already, and have now purchases the new and larger stock bikes. They are trying to convince me to "upgrade".

But that group (including me) all rather ride than wrench these days. Especially because the house needs work, the yard need work, other vehicles need washing. I simply have more to take care of than those earlier days.

So I enjoy the "old" (lol) 2019 114 and add in the miles. I only travel 15k a year on my bike now.

This one is done (since 2008) But my others still have a "to do" list. Nothing major. Oops, I just lied, I have an extended (stock 2002+) brake pedal to install. Ok, then it will be done.

I have a '97 springer in Florida that I had a ton of work done to while I spent the summer in Michigan. I reckon that bike is as close to 100% done that you can get!

Many ,many miles on my stock 16 FXDB some minor changes along the way of course. Now many yrs later, new 1-1/4” lower pull back drag bars, new Sparto tail light and eliminate side lic plate. New grips, fabed my own set backs (1-1/4”) for foward controls, new custom shift linkage I made, new “ Ohhh/****! “ brake pedal, new lic plate mount I made for Sparto. Add small reflective red flames on side of tank. Whole new bike ! Handles better to me and easier to push around in garage w/ lower bars. Looks good too. I’m 71 and I suspect I’ll find something else I need to do,change, fab, cut, paint or move. Just the way it is I guess.

Just got the powder coated wheel back, and I installed new KST 10" 6 Bend 1.25" bars.
I hope that I'm done.

Don't forget to post pics with the tires on the wheels. I saw the shot of the PCd wheel, looks good so far!

I can't answer the question, does not wanting to mod decrease with yeas riding. I suspect varies. But I also suspect lots of newbies, such that I got my bikes
