The bikes apart and I need some inner primary bolt retainers and a c-clip for the clutch basket, and Davies Harley in Richmond Hill, Ontario doesn't have the c-clip in stock. Can you believe that a dealer wouldn't have a part like this in stock at the beginning of the season. They had a $375.00 Harley Beer Fridge, and many rechargeable battery Harley flashlights at $275.00 but not a C-Clip @ $0.39 that anyone who is doing a clutch or drive belt needs. This dealer needs to get back to bike supplies and not RUB supplies.
If you can't get it anywhere else, I'll pick one up at the local HD shop and mail it to you...give me the part number, I can do it on Thursday. (Assuming THIS HD shop has it in the midst of their refrigeraters and leather jackets of course).
Mac, thanks for the offer, I will get one in the morning at the local auto supply, but I believe that I should post names of good dealers and bad ones just so other people know.
As you know, I love HD's but have a big problem with RUB's, so I feel that I have to "out" the dealers that cater to RUB's rather than riders.
If I **** anyone off with this opinion, I don't care!!!
Skip, I'm going to take you up on that! I just don't know if I'm going to be able to be able to take all of the ribbing of my completely chromed out Ultra.
