My stock aluminum levers are getting very dull and look terrible with my new chrome switch housings. My question is, do these levers have some type of clear coat on them that needs to be removed prior to polishing? Thanks folks...

Nope. just use a good aluminum polish on them. I use Mothers and a cotton cloth. They will shine like chrome.

Shep is right, that Mother's polish is good stuff. The first time will take a while to get every thing to shine the way you want but from then on it's a piece of cake.
