Default Chrome cleaning

What do you guys use to clean your chrome? I been using windex and paper towels last year, but I'm looking to use something that will deep clean the chrome wheels and remove some water stains. i was thinking some type of polish or wax may work.

thanks in advance

what ever you do use, don't use paper towels!!! what is paper made from? wood!! paper towels are made to scrub, they will scratch paint, chrome, glass. they are fantastic for spills, and drying tears, the ones coming from you watching your chrome getting all scratched up!! use a micro fiber towel, baby diapers. something that will not scratch. even watch out for cotton towels, as they are very fibrous as well.
pledge works well for shining everything, never-dul works great on chrome. jewelers polish works well too. and meguirs waxes all are good . be wise as what you use to clean your bike and the shine will last a very long time

I didnt like the pledge. Left a smeary smudgy very willing to collect dust from my gravel driveway. To polish chrome I use turtle way chrome polish. Works great. like said before microfiber towel. After a normal wash i dry with a chamois. That takes care of water spots before they start.

I'm a glass cleaner guy too! Windex or whatever I have around. But like harleycharlie said, lose the paper towels.

Every now and then I'll use some never-dull or other metal polish to brighten things up, but it's windex for the everyday cleanings.

If you opt for a polish be discriminating in your selection. Some chrome polishes are very abrasive and over time will go right through the chrome.

I've been using the Pledge wipes/towelettes ever since they came out. They scrub off all but the toughest grunge, and then I follow up with a microfiber towel to shine it up and remove any excess Pledge that might remain. If it's REALLY stubborn, like on the heat shields, tailpipes or the underside of the primary or on the wheels, I find that SOS pads do a great job, and since I don't grind them when using them, I have never had a problem with scratching anything.

The pledge wipes work really well on everything: paint, chrome, rubber, lexan, whatever. The only thing I DON"T use them on is the seat...makes sudden stops very exciting!
