I'm new to the forum; I'm looking for a product to clean old wax off of my powdercoat. I got a little overzealous the first time I waxed my '04 Springer, and I haven't found anything that will clean the powdercoat very well.
I have found the best product around for cleaning melted boot rubber off of chrome: "Road Rub". It looks like a mini-deodorant stick, but it's a natural rubber compound with baking soda in it. Takes ugly smudges right off the chrome.

Treat powdercoat just like paint. Try some bug and tar remover.
Spray and Wash. The stuff you spray on your clothes to add the extra ooomph to remove stains. Spray it on - Rinse it off and powdercoat looks brand new again.
I had some ugly spots where I had gotten some Mothers on my powder coated parts of engine. I tired everything under the sun to get it off just left the "grey" spot. Then someone here said try a "Mr Clean Magic Earser" so I did wow came right off. Actually that is now a part of my cleaning kit. And thre re several friends that had some thingand they have had same success. Hope this helps
