Was in a couple discount leather shops today and they sold jackets, chaps etc. All stuff made in Pakistan. It looks like top quality goods but before I purchase any I,d like to know if anyone has had any complaints with there stuff, if you got some that is. Prices are lower than Harley leathers, about 2 hundred dollars on jackets.
Thanks
I buy from Leatherup.com. It's manufactured in Pakistan. Awesome stuff. Top quality leather. Pakistan is a major producer of leather and leather goods. Nothing bad about buying from the experts.
On the plus side, much of the leather tanned/colored in Pakistan is vat-dyed and not the spray-dyed stuff usually found here in the states - vat-dyed usually holds its color longer.
I wonder about who makes there goods, sweat shops perhaps or worse yet harborers of terrorist types. That whole country is full of lunatics. Maybe it,s good leather but what about the moral question. Do they even have cows in Pakistan?

Like mentioned above...people get up, go to work, make some money to feed their families, they go home. Not a whole lot different then here in the states.

I live here in the Atlanta, Georgia area. In just the last 24 hours, we've had 5 more people murdered, 117 traffic crashes, 19 robberies, and 31 reports of assault.
my chaps are made in pakistan and a lot cheaper than hd. the leather is not as soft and nice as HD but it serves it's purpose since i only wear them a few times during the year. it's not that cold in texas.
Take a look at where the HD leather is made for $400 a jacket! LOL
Enlighten me, where are they made? Harley-Davidson makes good leather ,don,t they? It sure looks better than the Pakistani stuff, don,t know if it is better. My Harley-Davidson bike looks better than a Pakistani bike, I,m sure its a better bike too. It costs more than a Pakistani bike and the H-D leathers cost more than Pakistani leathers........ sooooo they should be better leathers too. Should,nt they?
My HD boots are not made here, Harley had them made in China. they are nothing special. I got them as a gift and I wear them sometimes, but I prefer my Carolina's. They were made here and I've had them since 95.
I don't remember where the HD leather jackets were made. I actually took a picture of the price tag on one of them that was made overseas and had a $400 price tag. The jackets do seem very nice and all, but I went to Jacksonville at Open Road Leather and covered my wife in really nice leather for $400. I'm talking really nice chaps, jacket (with all the cool inlaid suede and stuff), gloves and neck wrap. At the HD dealer we could get the jacket...LOL
