2008 FLSTC won't start unless it is in neutral

My wife has a 2008 Heritage Softail Classic. It won't fire up unless the transmission is in neutral. It is almost like the immobilizer is activated, engine light comes on, etc. but no engine turn over. Took it to the dealer last week and they reprogrammed the fobs. Went to take it out today and again it won't start unless it is in neutral. Not sure what is going on, any suggestions? I don't think the dealer knows what the problem is or they would have fixed it.

If you have the bike in gear, and squeeze the clutch lever, does it start????

If not, then you have a faulty or incomplete circuit for the clutch interlock...
