Hard bag Support

Had the left side hard bag support break on my 2002 FLHT. Had a container of Lasagna my son gave us in a Pyrex container with a Hard lock in the bag. Didn't think the weight would be too much. Anyone know if the chromed metal can be brazed or better to replace it? If so where would be a good site to order one as I'm sure the stealer would rape me on this piece. Extended warranty just expired in January, too. Again this is the piece fastened to the fender. Anyone having one around I'd apprieciate an e-mail. Thanks ahab211

Mine broke on my 1994 Road King about 2 months ago, I had to order a new one from the local H-D dealership. ($32) wow ! But my buddy who runs a bodyshop welded it up for me and I am still using the welded piece and have the new piece in my saddlebag. Not sure if your bracket is different than mine. Mine is sort of a Z shaped piece. The wire weld worked great.

Thanks. I'm having one sent to me. I'll get mine welded for a backup. I thought it would cost more then that. Live and learn.

I priced them in canada today and the stealer wanted $96.75 CAN for the bag support. I might be looking in the U.S. when I go over this weekend as the guy that was to send me one hasn't returned my e-mails.
